The Story Behind Our Name

Lucy Mina Group is a tribute to the enduring legacies of two remarkable women who have shaped the foundation of our brand. Named after Karrah's grandmothers, Lucy Hubbard and Wilhelmina Matten, the company embodies the values and virtues imparted by these strong matriarchs.

Lucy Hubbard, born in Alligator, MS in the 1930s, was a vibrant force who thrived in the realms of politics and education. Lucy formed genuine connections with everyone she encountered. Her deep faith, tenacity and courage serve as an inspiration for our work, reminding us of the importance of engagement and passion in building successful relationships.

Wilhelmina Matten, on the other hand, hailed from Jackson, MS, and represented a more reserved strength and deep intelligence. Her ability to speak her mind when it mattered most highlights the significance of clear communication and the strength found in quiet resolve, aspects that resonate deeply with our consulting approach.

Karrah carries the spirits of Lucy and Wilhelmina into her endeavors, bridging the strength of her family’s lineage with her passion for business, politics, and education. Though both grandmothers passed before witnessing her success in politics and higher education, Karrah continues to honor them through her work. By naming her firm Lucy Mina, she ensures that their legacy lives on, guiding her as she strives to provide solutions and elevated experiences for her clients.

At Lucy Mina Group, we believe in honoring our roots while forging ahead with purpose, blending the wisdom of the past with the vision of the future.
